Physical activity protects you from COVID-19. These are not just words, this is a fact.
Dr. Zhen Yan from the University of Virginia has been studying this and was the first to say "physical activity protects you from COVID". Look at the video on this page.
And in the past few months, two studies came out.
Dr. Robert Salas from the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, looked at adults and concluded:
"Consistently meeting physical activity guidelines was strongly associated with a reduced risk for severe COVID-19 outcomes among infected adults. We recommend efforts to promote physical activity be prioritised by public health agencies and incorporated into routine medical care."
In Korea, 44,000 adults were part of a study to show how physical activity will protect you from general COVID-19 issues. Here is their findings:
"Adults who engaged in the recommended levels of physical activity were associated with a decreased likelihood of SARS-CoV-2 infection, severe COVID-19 illness and COVID-19 related death. Our findings suggest that engaging in physical activity has substantial public health value and demonstrates potential benefits to combat COVID-19."
